Harsha Purasinghe
Founder/Managing Director/CEO

Harsha founded Microimage in 1993 at the age of 19 while at college with few other college students. It was incorporated in 1995 as Microimage (Private) Limited in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Harsha developed the company from a desktop language software provider to one of the leading innovative software development company in Sri Lanka with regional presence and global recognition to date. From early days he has contributed and involved in all products in terms of ideas/ technical architecture / designing and strategy. He posses over 10 years experience in the ICT field with diverse technology know how from enterprise software architecture/design/development to mobile technologies. Harsha was recognized as the “Most outstanding entrepreneur in IT/BPO industry in Sri Lanka” recently. Microimage Mobile & Media division won the GSM Asia Mobile Innovation Award last year & also got commended at the GSM World Awards in Barcelona, Spain early this year. The company ventured into a new startup with Microimage Mobile Media to focus purely on mobile and media business.

Damindu Jayaweera 
Director

Damindu co-founded Microimage while at school in 1993 and also was behind co-founding of Microimage mobile media. Damindu was involved with the company in terms of business strategy and building global partnerships. He contributed immensely for product architecture/design & delivery strategy in early days. He is a born programmer turned into a highly effective business & financial analyst. He has a solid background in terms of business/financial analysis and system design/architecture. Damindu has a BSc. (Physics) from Imperial College of London (UK), MSc (Computer Science) from University of Kelaniya, (Sri Lanka) and MBA in Global Finance from ESLSCA, Paris (France). He is also an associate of Royal College of Science (London, UK).

Shan Shamugarajah
Director/Chief Technical Officer

Shan joined Microimage in 1998 as senior software engineer after returning from his entire education in India. He was an extremely talented programmer with greater interest for research and new technology breakthrough’s. He became the chief technical officer of Microimage in 2000 and was responsible for many technology innovations of the company. He was leading and driving the mobile division of the company since 2004. Shan joins Microimage Mobile Media as the chief technical officer with full time involvement with mobile & media solutions. He has a Bachelor Engineering (Computer Science) – 1st Class from Bharathithasan University in (Trichy, India). He is also a Microsoft Certified Professional.
